No the DCB is not suitable for stage four (cavity) wounds.

You must not stop turning your father to relive the pressure, the DCB can treat the skin but it cannot protect the skin from the pressure itself.
How the DCB is considered a preventive treatment?
A constant applying of the DCB provides the skin with all the necessary tools to restore its moisture and nourishment (prevented by the loss of blood circulation to areas under pressure) that it needs in order to rejuvenate itself to its natural elasticized state.
How much DCB should I use?
You should use a sufficient amount to cover the affected area and a bit of the surroundings, it doesn’t have to be a thick layer, but it has to be covered.
How many times a day should I use the DCB?
At least two times a day, morning and evening, if you can squeeze one more time at noon that will be great, if the skin is not absorbing the cream fast enough then two times a day suffice or check that you are not applying to much cream.
